Your baby this week

Your baby’s muscles are getting stronger and movements more coordinated. Some parents — especially in a second pregnancy — feel the first faint flutters, known as quickening.

Your body & how you might feel

Your uterus is rising, and the top of it can be felt about halfway between your pubic bone and navel. Many feel noticeably better and more themselves now.

  • Backache

This week’s tip: Those first “bubble” flutters are easy to miss — lie quietly after a meal and you may notice them more clearly.

A gentle reminder: This is an estimate, not medical advice. Dates and figures are general guidance — every pregnancy is different. Your healthcare provider’s assessment, especially from an early ultrasound, always takes priority. Always speak with your provider about your pregnancy.
